The first one's are small, but I'm told that this particular breed will lay eggs too big for our cartons!
Later that day:
I went out in the evening to feed the chickens and found a second egg!!! First AND second eggs in the same day - the first day of school!
Is your plan to use them or sell them? (I don't know how this stuff works)
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous!! My neighbors across the street just got chickens (I can hear them clucking in the mornings) and now I see this post -- I want to get chickens so badly! My husband is dead-set against it having them(he hated taking care of chickens as a kid), but your post makes me want to nag him a little bit more. :) I'll bet those eggs you got taste SO much better than the ones at the store. Yep. Green with envy.
